During one of our classes in SCAD, we designed an event around the emotional expression of gratitude. This event was to encourage all members of the SCAD community to be more aware and thankful of those around them that contribute to their experience at SCAD.
Research shows that gratitude has many lasting, positive effects on a community and we wanted to see how an initiative like this might affect the Savannah campus. The diversity at SCAD inspired us to design communication around the idea of saying thank you in various languages, while phonetically spelling it out for verbal communication.
